I consider myself a Creative. I love the term artist, but I feel that an artist has a certain responsibility to the world - to create art, to change people with their art, to bleed through their art. Instead, I think of myself as someone who creates. Creating is much more playful, much less heavy. Creating is a form of wandering through the world reflecting and reacting to it - a conversation with experiences and memories.
As a multipotentialite, I am always jumping at the chance to learn a new form of making. I collect this knowledge in the way one collects seashells - not always sure of their potential but aware of their beauty. Ideas come to me needing to be expressed in a variety of ways causing the artwork that I make to vary greatly in medium and subject matter.
My recent obsessions have involved papercutting, bullet journalling, ebru painting, art journalling, and my long love affair with photography. I am drawn to bright colors balanced with white simplicity, soft circles as well as hard-edged patterns. I enjoy maps, nature, and rainbows of all sorts. Overall, I hope that my artwork elicits joy in you.
